As the future of work continues to evolve, it is important to mantain a positive team dynamic especially during uncertain and volatile times. The mindset of each individual on the team is just as important as the collective team itself.

Here are 3 ways to create resilience within your teams:

  1. Roles: Each member on the team must have clearly defined roles to establish ownership and accountability. Within, invited team members are assigned roles and permissions to gain access to projects, for flexibility, or to restrict access to sensitive projects. Each project should have a leader, devil's advocate, time keeper (especially during team meets or team syncs) to ensure accountability โœ…

2. Psychological Safety: At Pathscape, our best moments are during our heated debates. We get to generate new feature ideas to pile unto our technical roadmap ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Team members must know that they can speak freely without being penalized or for challenging prevailing opinion. It creates a constant feedback loop within the team to ensure accountability, risk taking and learning. No one on the team knows the right answer and it is important to gather experience and insights from one another.

3. Motivation: It is important to identify development opportunities in team members and encourage growth within those areas. Providing honest, direct feedback drives performance, enables behaviour and promotes exploration for each team member. The comment section within allows team members to easily provide feedback, ask questions and encourage each other!

In addition, building, reviewing and tweaking the technical roadmap with your team fosters inclusivity and ensures that all goals are aligned!

Most importantly, creating a rewards system recognizes individual and team effort as well as team building activities which strengthens team bonds.
